Marketing Manager

Kilifi, Kenya  ·  On-site  ·  Full-time  ·  Reports to the CEO

Green Heart is East Africa's leading regenerative eco-town — a walkable community built in harmony with nature. We're looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to lead day-to-day marketing and turn agreed priorities into consistent, measurable delivery.

We like to do things a little differently — so this application is the first step of the role. Clear, specific, credible writing is the heart of the job; please answer in your own words, and with real figures where you can.

Where this role fits

Build qualified demand — and the team that sustains it

You will build qualified demand, strengthen our visibility and credibility, and help prospective buyers move towards informed decisions. The role combines direct campaign and website work with planning, editorial review and coordination of colleagues and specialist support. You'll work closely with our Community Manager & Marketing Assistant, Sales, Experience and Operations teams — and you should be comfortable working in the tools, investigating problems and following work through to a verified result.

Demand

Marketing planning & demand generation

Turn business priorities into practical plans and campaigns. Personally manage and improve paid activity across relevant channels, focused on attracting suitable buyers and generating qualified enquiries.

People

People management & coaching

Manage the Community Manager/Marketing Assistant: set priorities, give regular feedback and coaching, and grow their confidence, judgement and ability to work independently.

Sales

Lead nurture & Sales coordination

Work with the lead generation and nurture executive and Head of Sales to improve enquiry response, qualification, reactivation and handovers. Use buyer feedback and lead-quality reviews to sharpen campaigns.

Performance

Measurement & budget management

Monitor spend, lead quality, cost per qualified lead, visits and other agreed measures. Explain what is working, recommend changes and maintain clear monthly reporting.

Content

Content planning & editorial quality

Oversee the content producer across social, email and blog. Keep a shared calendar with clear briefs, deadlines and approvals. Ensure content is accurate, specific to Green Heart and written in a natural, credible voice.

Website

Website & search visibility

Keep website information accurate and useful, make routine WordPress updates, implement SEO priorities and coordinate technical support for tracking, integrations and complex fixes.

Product

Product information & sales materials

Maintain consistent, approved information across brochure, flyers, information sheets, website and campaigns. Coordinate design and production so Sales always has current materials to hand.

Community

Partnerships & community engagement

Turn partnerships, events and referral opportunities into planned marketing activity, useful content, relevant enquiries and coordinated follow-up.

What success looks like

Suitable enquiries, trusted materials, a growing team

Enquiries that Sales accepts and progresses towards visits. Better campaign-spend decisions backed by reliable tracking. Consistent publishing in a recognisable Green Heart voice. Accurate product information Sales trusts. A Marketing Assistant who grows in confidence and ownership. In your first 90 days: establish the baseline, address priority gaps and present an evidence-based plan for the next quarter.

What we're looking for

You might be a great fit if you…

Bonus points

What we offer

More than a job — a place to grow

Competitive pay

Competitive and holistic compensation, commensurate with experience.

Autonomy & agency

A high level of working autonomy, with real ownership of how Green Heart shows up in the world.

Real purpose

Be part of a regeneration movement, not just a transaction. Regeneration is contagious.

On the coast

Full-time and on-site in Kilifi — amid 70% green space, with community, art and events on the doorstep.

Karibu — we'd love to hear from you.

Apply for the Marketing Manager role
